What are my legal obligations for gas safety?
Under the Health and Safety at Work Act all employers have a duty of care to their employees and others who use their premises and therefore required to safely maintain all gas appliances and systems within their premises.

How often should I renew my Landlord Safety Certificate?
It is a legal requirement that all gas appliances, pipework and flues are serviced and inspected annually. This applies to both mains gas and LPG. Records of this inspection must be held for at least two years and should be presented to tennants within 28 days of the inspection. It is also a legal requirement that anyone who carries out this work is on The Gas Safe Register.

How often do I need to service my catering equipment?
The Gas Safety (Installation & Use) Regulations, or GSIUR, requires that all gas catering equipment is serviced at least annually and in accordance with the manufacturers instructions.
